The Quickest Way to Start Filming on an iPhone
There are many reasons why iPhones make great video cameras. Toward the top of that list is the fact that it is almost always within reach and ready to record at a moments notice. If you have an iPhone 7, that means you are able to record in 4k UHD video in mere seconds. Here are my 3 favorite ways to quick draw your iPhone as a video camera:
1. When it's locked, simply wake it up without unlocking it. Then swipe left to immediately activate your camera. You're ready to roll.
2. If your iPhone is unlocked, swipe up from the bottom of your phone up onto the screen. This will reveal a menu that has lots of shortcuts around your phone. At the bottom right corner of this menu is the Camera icon. Hit this and you'll be all set.
3. If you use your phone's camera regularly, then dedicate one of the spots along the dock at the bottom to your camera app. That way if you are inside another app you just need to hit the home button once and the camera icon will be in plain view.
